✨my top cleaning routine tip✨

Having 1 day a week that is a “focus day” or “reset day” is very helpful for maintaining your home. For me, Thursdays are my “reset” day! Getting in a routine can be hard, so I have found this to be extremely helpful.

I always do dishes and laundry on Thursday. These are tasks I do throughout the week, but I make sure they are top priority specifically on Thursdays. I also try to focus on another area of the house that has been causing me stress.

My Thursday rest day isn’t meant to be overwhelming, in fact, it is meant to destress myself and my living environment so I can better enjoy the weekend! The point is to set aside some time to be solely focused on tidying up your space.

Examples of tasks I do on Thursdays:
✨ laundry (my non-negotiable)
✨ dishes (my other non-negotiable)
✨ take care of recycling
✨ mow the lawn
✨ weed the garden
✨ declutter 1 area of the house (ex: junk drawer!)
✨ vacuum & mop
✨ run errands (ex: grocery shopping, post office, etc)
✨ stowaway seasonal decor

REAL TALK UPDATE 🐶

We have finally finished the fence... for now. Next year we will be trimming out the fence to make it look polished, but for now, the weather is getting too cold to continue working on it. The dog is contained in the yard, so she's able to enjoy the fence and that's what matters now!

Next up, the built in living room entertainment center! Count down to Christmas has begun and we are aiming to have it done before then! Follow along for more!

The fence is well underway! Made really good progress on it this weekend. Daylight savings has been doing is dirty but at least the Michigan weather has been holding out for us!
